Warning: tearjerker incoming. The spring migration of the black-tailed godwit is in full swing with the national bird returning from Senegal. Once they have landed in their meadow, the breeding season begins. The black-tailed godwit incubates her eggs, and the chicks are driven by their appetite to leave the safe nest. But, spring is coming sooner, and the farmer is mowing earlier and earlier; the chick cannot escape the blades of the tractor… Thankfully, parties have joined forces to avoid this fate. Operation Black-tailed Godwit was launched this year. Will it manage to save the godwit?
